Animation I (#7201)

Designed to learn and apply understanding, technical skills, design processes, problem solving skills in the area of animation.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  1.0 Grades:  10th - 12th

Prerequisites:  Recommended:  Art I or Principles of Art, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications


Animation I/Animation I Lab (#7202)

Designed to develop an understanding of the history and techniques of the animation industry.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  2.0 Grades:  10th - 12th

Prerequisites:  Recommended: Art I and Principles of Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications.  Corequisite:  Animation I

Special Notes:  This course must be taken concurrently with Animation I and may not be taken as a stand-along course.


Animation II (#7203)

Designed to learn and apply understanding, technical skills, design processes, problem solving skills in the area of animation.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  1.0 Grades:  11th - 12th

Prerequisites:  Animation I.  Recommended corequisite:  Animation II Lab

Designed to develop artistic skills with the latest in computer animation technologies.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  2.0 Grades:  11th - 12th

Prerequisites: Animation I.  Corequisite:  Animation II

Special Notes:  This course must be taken concurrently with Animation II and may not be taken as a stand-alone course.


Audio/Video Production I (#7213)

 

Designed to develop an advanced understanding of the industry with a focus on pre-production, production, and post-production products.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  1.0 Grades:  9th - 12th

Prerequisites:  Recommended:  Principles of Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications.  Recommended Corequisite:  Audio/Video Production I Lab 


Audio/Video Production I/Audio/Video Production I Lab (#7214)

 

Designed to develop an understanding of the industry with a focus on pre-production, production, and post-production audio and video activities.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  1.0 Grades:  9th - 12th

Prerequisites:  Recommended: Principles of Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications.  Recommended Corequisite:  Audio/Video Production I Lab 


Audio/Video Production II (#7215)

 

Designed to develop skills, students will be expected to develop an advanced understanding of the industry with a focus on pre/production/post products.

Desktop Publishing (#6943)

 

Designed to allow students to demonstrate creative thinking, develop innovative strategies, and use communication tools in order to work effectively.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  1.0 Grades:  10th - 12th


Digital Art and Animation (#2714)

Designed to explore graphic design, advertising, web design, animation, etc. Students will produce various real-world projects and animations.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  1.0 Grades:  9th - 12th

Prerequisites: Recommended: Art Level I

Special Notes:  This course satisfies the high school fine arts graduation requirement.


Digital Communication (#7890)

Designed to prepare students for the societal demands of increased civic literacy, global awareness, and communication skills.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  1.0 Grades:  9th - 12th

Special Notes:  This course is available for Dual Credit.  Please see your counselor.


Digital Media (#7702)

Designed to study digital and interactive media, students will analyze emerging technologies, while designing and creating multimedia projects.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  1.0 Grades:  9th - 12th


Fashion Design I (#7205)

Designed to address psychological, physiological, and sociological needs of individuals by enhancing the environments in which they live and work.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  1.0 Grades:  10th - 12th

Prerequisites:  Recommended: Algebra I and English I.  Principles of Architecture and Principles of Construction or Architectural Design I.


Fashion Design II (#7207)

Designed to advance understanding of the fashion industry with an emphasis on design, construction, and production.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  1.0 Grades:  11th - 12th

Prerequisites:  Recommended:  Fashion Design I

Special Notes:  Student must pass safety test with 100% mastery.


Graphic Design and Illustration I (#7225)

 

Designed to develop an understanding of the industry with a focus on fundamental elements and principles of visual art and design.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  1.0 Grades:  10th - 12th

Prerequisites:  Recommended: Principles of Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications.  Recommended corequisite:  Graphic Design and Illustration I Lab


Graphic Design and Illustration II (#7227)

Designed to develop an understanding of the industry with a focus on fundamental elements and principles of visual art and design.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  1.0 Grades:  10th - 12th

Prerequisites:  Recommended: Graphic Design and Illustration I.  Recommended corequisite:  Graphic Design and Illustration II Lab


Graphic Design and Illustration II/Graphic Design and Illustration II Lab (#7228)

Designed to develop advanced technical knowledge and skills needed for success in the Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications.

Independent Study of Tech Apps (#7883)

 

Designed to communicate information in different formats and to diverse audiences using a variety of technologies.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  1.0 Grades:  9th - 12th

Prerequisites:  Recommended:  A minimum of one credit from the courses in the Information Technology Career Cluster
